Having graduated from Worcester University as a mature student in 2013, Chris achieved a BA (Hons) in Sports Coaching with Disabilities. Chris has an FA qualification in Football and Disability Sports such as Wheelchair Basketball.
Determined to get elderly people and those with disabilities more active, Chris is passionate about working with individuals to encourage and empower themselves through movement. Chris has also developed a training course to empower and upskill care workers so they can deliver effective activities themselves within their workplace.
When Chris isn’t providing activity sessions he can be found out and about with the kids and helping out with the therapy animals!
Danica made the decision to leave her career as a senior carer in a dementia specialist care home to join the Encourage team. Working alongside Kim to deliver the animal assisted therapy sessions she also looks after bookings and sales.
Outside of work Danica can usually be found in a pair of wellies mucking out or trawling through the mud with Kim to see to the ponies!
