THE COMPANY

Encourage Activity is a community interest company. We provide innovative physical activity sessions to all ages and abilities.
Care homes for the elderly and disabled.

We strive to enhance focus on quality of life for everyone.

We are passionate about offering a range of fun, engaging inclusive and stimulating sessions to care home residents, day care centers and community groups and the workplace. We provide a number of services to suit any person’s situation and their environment.
Based in the Midlands, we are perfectly positioned to come to you. All of our activity providers are DBS (formerly CRB) checked and fully assessed before we employ them, ensuring peace of mind that you’re in good hands.

Our Approach

Exercise doesn’t need to be a daunting prospect, which is why we work to encourage social interaction amongst the group and challenge the mind with problem solving tasks.

The relaxed environment provides perfect grounds for personal growth, with no pressure or expectations. Delivering a dedicated range of games and tasks of varying intensity, there’s something for all levels of skill and fitness.

From Boccia to table cricket, the activities are designed to support full physical movement where possible. Not only does this increase confidence and boost serotonin levels (happy hormones!) but in turn has shown to reduce stress and anxiety.

Our Goals

Each activity is effectively designed to target and stimulate three main areas:

  Physical

Promoting varied use of muscles and stimulating blood flow.

  Social

Encouraging interaction amongst peers, and making new friends.

  Psychological

Challenging the mind to increase basic cognitive function.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide physical activity sessions to older generations both in care and in residential environments across the whole of the UK.

Our Efforts

We strive to work closely with other leading healthcare professionals and organisations in the health sector. Having access to current research and advice on health and social care enables us to ensure that the services we provide are optimised for everyone and that our staff are fully knowledgeable about current activity in the sector.

The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) provides national guidance and advice to improve health and social care across the UK. Further information and guidance on the matter can be found here.
